Ups & downs - Back to Up

Today is a better day.

Yesterday, I was feeling a little down. My daughter’s car needed new tires. Of which I knew I had to do. Got the tires. Four new tires. I feel better knowing that her car has new tires. She won’t be stranded on a flat because one of the old tires had a slow leak.

In all, I’m tired of always having to put out money for all these THINGS I own.

Way tired of all the STUFF. Stuff always being pushed to me. Get this because you need it or gotta have that because it will make you this. OH BOY!!!! TRASH! It’s not true.

Then I lost my favorite pair of glasses today. I have these yellow tinted glasses I use for the computer, or bright lights. The glasses were only $18 on Amazon. So I ordered another pair, then I just got a call that there were found! YAY! Had to cancel the order.

Today is better day. I’m making my way through one moment at a time.

Life Isn't Easy

Yesterday I wrote a blog about how writing isn’t easy.  Today, I’m writing about how life isn’t easy. 😩

There are things we want to happen in our lives.  It is innate for us as people to want to succeed.  It’s also for us as people to not feel good when others achieve the success we want for ourselves.  Not to the point of jealousy or being envious, but thinking how we can never get ahead.  We ask ourselves, “Why can’t I get ahead?” 😔 It’s almost like we’re feeling jinxed.  The crazy part is someone out there thinking the same thing about us. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I totally understand.  I get it.  I feel it.  I feel it for myself.  I feel it for my daughters.  I feel it for my mom.  I feel it when someone I love feels they aren’t succeeding despite the fact they are successful.  It ways heavily.

At the moment, I’m feeling some kind of way for my daughter.  She’s 16 almost 17 and she’s learning life’s lessons.  How things don’t always go your way despite the fact you’ve put everything into your favor to make it happen. UGH!  I feel her pain.  Just when you think everything is lost is the time you have to push through the most.  Hard to explain that to a teenager with her entire life ahead of her.  🥺

Even with myself.  I’m so ready to make a change in my life when it comes to my job.  I’m burnt out.  I want to do something different.  I want to meet different people and go on adventures.  I live for after hours and the weekends.  Life shouldn’t be like that.  Living for the moments away from the job.  This is why I tell my kids  chase the dreams, do the dream, don’t get stuck at a job because you’re looking for money.  Money is a thing of now and if you step on the path of servitude (unlikable job and bills)  that’s where you’ll be for a long while until you can figure out how to get off. 🤯

I’m feeling a little melancholy.  Hopefully this feeling will pass quickly.

Today my word is JOY!  Smile. 🥰

Let It Burn | Twisted | Aitch Que

I decided to take my book - Let It Burn - off sale at Barnes & Noble, Apple iTunes/iBooks, Google Play & Kobo.  The only place I was getting sales & reads was on Amazon, but that was under the Kindle Unlimited program.  In order for my book to be in that program, the book had to be exclusively sold on Amazon.  I had it listed through Kindle Unlimited for three months, then I took the book wide (other online book retailers) and I didn't see any sales that matched Amazon on those platforms.  So why keep it there?

Starting Wednesday, October 11, 2017 - Let It Burn will be listed only on Amazon.

Twisted is still on track for publication - March 2018.  I haven't decided if this book will be available at all retailers as the first two books - Church Chick & Blair X.

And support a new author Aitch Que - Amazon author page

All short stories with an erotica flare.

Conflict is what makes life interesting...

for storytelling.  In order for a story to work, the characters have to have some type of ever evolving conflict; that must be dealt with.  The conflict can be internal or external.

Isn't life like this?

Our lives are interesting because we are always dealing with some kind of conflict. Choices we have to make, paths we've gone down, other paths we are making and proceeding forward. Then we choose another path and go in the opposite direction.

We feel the internal conflicts about the decisions we make and the external conflicts of experiences that have happened to us.  It really does keep it interesting.

Our lives are stories. Stories that are woven together.  Every minute is a sequence, sequences add up to scenes or hours of our daily life.....our lives are the stories.....

What life story are you creating today?
