ARRA 2009 | New Gov't Financial Stability Website | Interracial Relationships

I work for the Federal government, and my agency is very much involved with the ARRA, otherwise known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009.  My days have been stressful and my nights - well I've been coming home very tired.  Last night I slept for 11 hours. And I do believe I see more gray in my hair.  But in all, having to be apart of this effort (being on the ground floor) making it happen has been great.  I encourage people to go to the Recovery.gov website to really see the kinds of things the taxpayers money has gone to instead of being lazy and waiting for the media to tell you.

Today is March 4, so the Obama Administration also dropped the guidelines for the Refinance and Modification program on the Financial Stability website.  This is for people seeking to either refinance or modify their current home loans. Learn About the Making Home Affordable Refinance and Modification Options, but clicking the link.

I kinda think this plan puts quite a few people out.  Well, what if a person has been paying on time but their mortgage is not a Fannie or Freddie Mac loan - you're not eligible for the program - thus no lower interest rate for you. And if your lender is not going to take the hit and help your refinance because you're underwater then to hell with you they say! Default on loan is what they are crying out it would seem!

The second piece is for those  looking for modifications to their loans.  The website states the following:

If you can no longer afford to make your monthly loan payments, either because your interest rate has increased or you have less income or you are experiencing a hardship that has increased your expenses (like medical bills), you may qualify for a loan modification to make your monthly mortgage payment more affordable. Millions of borrowers who are current, but having difficulty making their payments and borrowers who have already missed one or more payments may be eligible.

Well first of all...a person may be current and not have any real significant hardships, but is still responsible for a crazy mixed product loan. What does the Obama Administration do for them? They are still paying on time, they're ARM hasn't reset yet, but the way the mortgage company put the loan together was clearly predatory lending.  Do they not have any recourse? This baffles me.

The refinancing piece of the assistance is supposed to help people who have seen their home values decline because of the foreclosures in the community, but it's pretty much contingent upon a homeowner having a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loan.  Please someone help to me to understand the guidelines the Obama Administration has set forth.

***GENERAL/Interracial Relationships***

Nothing really going on in my life. I need to pick out another class for school. My LAST class...and elective. I need to finish my thesis...but I'm just feeling so out of it. I don't feel like doing much of anything but chilling! lol

I've gotten a positive reaction to my first podcast! YAY!!!!

And today I had a lovely conversation with The Luvologist. I will be on his internet Blog Talk Radio show this coming Sunday. I will be one of the panelist discussing interracial relationships.  This will be interesting. Once I get all the information, I'll be sure to post it for you all to join and listen! I also found out from him that he had heard of my BLZ Internet Radio station that I just canceled last week.  The funding of it was beyond me now and I just couldn't keep up with it. I wasn't changing the music as often as I would have liked and my focus  on my internet presence now is so different than what it was many moons ago. I was very honored that he knew of my station. I felt like I had come 360 degrees.

If you haven't noticed, I have started a serial novel:  Avalon Adventures  This is just something I'm doing to keep my writing skills up to par. I hope you enjoy...it's just starting out...so I haven't gotten to any juicy parts just yet...but it's all about the set up - right? lol

Lastly, here is a good blog to check out: TheMakeupGirl  - she's good at what she does....
